A note from the artist-

Of the Unearthed series, I feel Stargazer has the most magical feel about it. I created the background using an alcohol ink technique and then placed the figure. It feels as though she was meant to be there. From the light coming through the top left of the painting that illuminates her hair to the texture that was born on the right which gave the piece its name, fate helped to bring this piece to life.

Stargazer is radiant and strong, yet there is a question in her eyes, and perhaps a desire to know what goes on beyond the stars.
